Read the report of our 2011 Christmas concert, jointly with Cathures Chamber Choir.
The orchestra has about 60 members, playing all sizes of recorder from sopranino to contrabass, making a full orchestral sound. Repertoire ranges from ancient to modern, including original compositions and arrangements of pieces written for other combinations. Rehearsals are once per month plus occasional residential weekends. Public concerts are performed at least annually. There is a special relationship with the Dortmund Recorder Consort involving joint residential weekends and joint concerts in both countries.
Find out more if you would like to join the orchestra.
Monthly rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons in Stirling.
The next residential weekend will be from the 5th to the 7th October 2012, jointly with the Dortmund Recorder Consort, at Tulliallan near Kincardine, followed by a joint concert in the Reid Concert Hall, Edinburgh in the afternoon of Sunday 7 October.
